Over a few months ago, Google brought a slight twist to the way users browse apps and games on the Play Store. A browser previously placed at the top of the app since the beginning, is now moved to a new place as a magnifying glass icon in the centre of the bottom navigation bar.
In a consequential modification to the bar, Alphabet-owned Google is reportedly testing an auto-hiding navigation bar for an engaging encounter. It appears by clicking on the navigation bar and getting the latest grid panel.

Currently, browsers would appear on the top, combined with search terms that "You might like" along with an app/game genre section. At the end, click on the space on the top, where the browser was previously placed, and then a prompt will be shown mentioning that the search bar has been removed.
Alphabet-owned Google is currently tweaking the Play Store's bottom bar and making it reminiscent of the one in the Gmail app. However, it has not been modified yet, but it is likely to be changed soon.
This disappearing bar would offer an enhanced and immersive Play Store experience to all users. Completed with additional space for apps and games to exhibit. This happens on all the screens of the Play Store such as the search results, main feed, and more.
After the bar has disappeared, the navigation bar would re-emerge once you scroll back up, aligning with the behaviour of the Gmail app. However, it’s still under wraps when Google will bring this update for public, but it is likely to appear soon.
