Google simplifies Trusted places management on Android devices. Until now, it took a few swipes in Settings before one can manage their trusted places. In the latest beta of Google Play Services, this option was moved to a more accessible place.

Trusted places allows users to specify locations — at their house or office, for example — from where it is safe, and hence their phone will stay unlocked.

Simplify how you manage trusted places

The Trusted places option can be found in Settings > Location > Trusted Places in the latest beta. This new path decreases the steps to reach and manage Trusted Places. Since this feature is still under development, it is expected to be more user-friendly.

Redesign and new features

The Trusted places page has had a refresh, featuring placeholder locations and a new activity. Although nearly everything isn't working for now, it is clear that Google plans an overhaul of the feature.

According to a rumour, this page will show all settings using your trusted places list in one place, so you can easily keep everything the same.
