The Google TV app has added a new functionality allowing users to share movies and TV shows with friends and family via links.
Google has been enhancing the Google TV app through ongoing updates and one of the recent ones was to let users see the app's update status.
Share your favourite movies and TV shows on Google TV app
On the Google TV app, users can send a link to other users, letting them open a specific movie or TV show within the app. The link includes an image of the movie or TV show's poster, simplifying content recommendations.

Those who have the Google TV app installed can open listings directly, while non-users are redirected to the Google TV website.
However, it’s worth noting that the feature doesn't give the other person access to the content itself and they will still need to have a subscription to the Google TV app or purchase the movie or TV show to watch it.
Google TV app is adding this ability to share links to all Android and iOS devices.
Currently, sharing Google TV libraries is exclusively facilitated through Google's Family Library tools, which are designed for the same household members.
