Google Wallet for Android has rolled out an expanded “Everything else” option for making digital passes.
Everything else features in Google Wallet changed the “Photo” option. It lets users make digital passes from a text-based document which can be stored in Wallet. Users can scan a photo of any pass, say an event ticket or a gym membership.
If you’re integrating something sensitive with health or government ID information, it would be restricted as private, and not synced to other devices.
Authentication is set to be required before opening. However, you can replace the private pass classification later.
Is Google Pay a digital wallet?
According to the search engine giant, Google Wallet app correlates Google Pay – Google’s mobile payment app which would continue to serve payment needs of Indian users. Meanwhile, Google Pay is a method for users to handle their money and finances.

Moreover, Google Pay supports Near-field communication (NFC) technology can be utilised to integrate any credit card.
How does Google Wallet digital pass work
After taking an image of the pass, Google Wallet would extract the details and allow you to edit common fields, along with adding your own. At this moment, you can change the pass kind to one of the following.
- Business card
- Car insurance
- Driver’s license
- Events & tickets
- Health insurance
- ID card
- Library card
- Loyalty card
- Passport
- Residence permit
- Student ID
- Tax ID card
- Vehicle registration
- Voter ID card
- Other
When done, it would display below your carousel of credit/debit cards, Google would allow you access to the original “Pass photos” when looking at the digital copy.
Everything else features for Google Wallet are now globally released after displaying for the first users previously. However, if it’s playing “Photo,” go to the S Settings > App info page for Google Play services to Force stop.
