Search giant Google during the previous year brought to light a redesigned Weather app on Pixel phones while striking it with a series of trivial tweaks to its design and feature.

Pixel weather app

The Weather app's redesigned version was rolled out to Pixel phones last year. Now it seems that the company is willing to expand it to more Android devices.

Debuting around in the mid of 2023, the app was bloated with Google's Material You, a user-friendly design and language framework, and gave rise to a spate of extensive amendments to colours, weather's data-based information, and Nowcast — a new forecast tool to provide dark Sky-like predictions for precipitation by leveraging machine learning.

Before its previously reported sighting on additional Android devices in December 2023, the refreshed version of the app was also offered on older Pixel devices.

Pixel weather widget

Last year's reported availability of the Pixel-only weather widget came from a Samsung device. As of now, the new Google Weather app has been accessed on Galaxy Z Fold 4, OnePlus Open, and Honor Magic 6 RSR, as reported by 9to5Mac.

Adding weight to the authenticity of its wider accessibility, a Nokia 4.2 user also reported to have seen the redesigned version of the Weather app.
