New vibrant colours coming to Pixel 9a
Android Headlines reported that the Pixel 9a will be available in four colours, following a similar trend as the Pixel 9 series. However, it will come in vibrant colours different from its predecessor, the Pixel 8a.
The report suggested that Google won’t be going with the Aloe (Green) and Bay (Blue) colours this time, instead, it will opt for two new colour options including Peony and Iris.
If the reports turn out to be true, those who prefer light or neutral colours can still go with the other two options available for Pixel 9a, including the classic Porcelain and Obsidian.
Google Pixel 9a's dimensions (rumoured)
Apart from going with new vibrant colours, another leak suggested that the Pixel 9a might be larger in length and width than its predecessor. However, it is likely to measure 154 x 73 x 8.6mm, thinner compared to Pixel 8a which comes in at 152.1 x 72.7 x 8.9mm.
Pixel 9a release date and pricing (expected)
Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 9a with a more pocket-friendly pricing, around $499, making it a cheaper option available to the Pixel 9. That said, Google usually launches its Pixel A-series during the May window. Following the same trend, it might launch Pixel 9a in early 2025.
