‘Grow with TikTok’ empowers SMB owners, entrepreneurs in Pakistan

TikTok hosted an insightful "Grow with TikTok" event for small and medium business (SMB) owners and entrepreneurs from various sectors in Pakistan that aimed to empower them with the knowledge and tools they need to grow their business on the popular social media platform.

Held at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi, the event featured expert-led sessions that covered various aspects of promotion through TikTok. Participants received valuable knowledge on how to utilise the platform's vast potential to drive growth, increase brand visibility, and tap into the coveted Gen Z market.

Addressing the event, TikTok Marketing Lead Saif Mujahid noted that TikTok has “zero to none barriers to entry as it is a low-production-cost platform to produce content compared to earlier when you needed to have expensive and sophisticated equipment, invest in technology, studios, and green screens, and only then could you produce commercially acceptable content”.

If anyone wants to be successful and make productive content on TikTok, only two basic things are required — a smartphone and high-speed internet.

While Pakistan is currently facing issues that have led to a drastic reduction in internet speed, it’s expected to be resolved soon, he added.

The event attendees were introduced to TikTok’s strong content creation tools called in-app features that creators can leverage to make their content more engaging and to interact with the audience, along with effective strategies for optimising campaigns.

“Once you start producing content, you will be able to view how it can turn into ideas that stimulate your creativity as the tools are available and ready to be used,” Mujahid added.

This initiative is part of TikTok’s wide commitment to empowering SMBs globally by offering them the tools and features required to succeed in the digital age.
