Fans remain in the shadows regarding the anticipated arrival of the next instalment in the immensely popular GTA series. However, could this state of uncertainty be on the cusp of transformation?
Rockstar Games unveiled Grand Theft Auto VI in February 2022, yet since that initial revelation, there has been an almost complete absence of official information about the highly awaited sequel.
Approximately seven months after the announcement, a flurry of internet leaks surfaced, purportedly showcasing an early-stage version of the game. These leaks compelled Rockstar Games to officially address the situation, attempting to quell the escalating buzz.
Nevertheless, this official statement didn't succeed in stifling the ceaseless hum of rumours and speculations surrounding GTA VI.
GTA 6 release date
Bolstering these murmurings, a recent financial earnings call from Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, hinted at a potential GTA VI release window spanning from 2024 to 2025.
While this projection remains distant, it is preferable to release it in late 2025.
CEO Strauss Zelnic of Take-Two Interactive hinted during the earnings call for the fiscal year 2025, spanning from April 2024 to March 2025, that a "significant inflexion point... which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance" is on the horizon.
While GTA VI was not explicitly named, the most plausible contender to deliver such a groundbreaking performance is the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto instalment.
