Apple's latest watch models, including the recently unveiled Apple Watch Series 10, feature fast charging capabilities, made possible by an advanced charging architecture integrated into each device.
However, fast charging requires an Apple USB-C magnetic fast charging cable or a USB-C power connector. Gadinsider, therefore, has rounded up ways in which users can fast charge their Apple Watch.
Apple Watch models supporting fast charging
The following Apple Watch models support fast charging:
- Apple Watch Series 7
- Apple Watch Series 8
- Apple Watch Series 9
- Apple Watch Series 10
- Apple Watch Ultra
- Apple Watch Ultra 2
How to fast charge Apple Watch?
Use Apple USB-C magnetic fast charging cable
Apple provides a USB-C magnetic fast charging cable in the box with Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, Series, Series 10, and Ultra.
However, Apple users can also buy this charging cable separately available for $29.
USB-C power adapter
To reduce its environmental footprint, Apple no longer provides USB-C power adapters in the box. Therefore, users have to buy a new one separately.
The tech giant also claims that any USB-C power adapters that support USB Power Delivery of 5W can fast charge an Apple Watch.
Apple also provides a document that includes the details of fast charging specs with all Apple Watch series. As per the document, one can use 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 61W, 87W, or 96W USB-C power adapter to charge an Apple Watch faster.
