Troubleshooting Xfinity Wi-Fi problems
If the Xfinity Wi-Fi is not working, try these basic troubleshooting steps.
Check for service outage
First of all, check if there is a service outage in your area. To check, visit the Xfinity service outage map and type your address in the search bar. A message will appear if there's an outage.
Check your device
There might be a chance you may have accidentally turned off Wi-Fi on your phone, laptop, or computer. Also, check if Airplane mode is on.
Check your pending bills
There might be a chance that you are experiencing an interruption in Xfinity services because your payments are late. Therefore, check your bills by visiting the Xfinity website.
How to fix Xfinity Wi-Fi issues
If the above troubleshooting steps don't work, try the following steps.
Install Xfinity app
- Install the Xfinity app on your phone
- Sign in to your account.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Choose Troubleshoot.
- If the app finds an issue you can't fix online, you can also schedule an expert visit.
Wait for update
If your Xfinity router is showing an orange light, it’s because a firmware update is in progress. Therefore, wait for 30 minutes at least.
Check the cables
Make sure power cables and other equipment are plugged in securely. Also, check the Ethernet cables linked to your device.
Reset your Xfinity router
