Smartphone users might be familiar with the situation that when you take a screenshot on your phone, sometimes the desired information doesn’t fit on one screen and the user eventually ends up taking two, three, or even multiple screengrabs, which leads to confusion about their order.

However, there is no need to worry as iOS now has a long scrolling screenshot feature available on iPhones that captures everything on a screen, making it much easier to read information.

Previously, one needed third-party apps such as Picsew and Tailor to take a scrolling screenshot on an iPhone.

How to take a scrolling screenshot on iPhone

For taking a scrolling screenshot, follow Gadinsider's guidelines.

  • Take a screenshot by pressing the side or top button and the volume up button simultaneously.
  • Tap the preview in the bottom left corner before it disappears.
  • Choose the “Full Page” option in the top right corner.
  • The Full Page option will only appear when there is more than one page worth of content on-screen
  • You can preview all the pages, and use markup before saving it.
  • Or can also tap the crop icon, a square-shaped icon next to “Done” to edit what part of the Full Page you want to save.
  • Tap “Done” in the top-left corner to save or you can also click the share button in the top right.

With this new iOS option, taking a scrolling screenshot or “Full Page” screenshot provides you with a PDF of everything on a document, webpage, or a note in Apple’s apps.
