Here's the new smartphone Motorola is working on

Motorola suggests that its new Smartphone will come with curved display besides support for wired and wireless charging

Motorola, the subsidiary smartphone maker of Lenovo, unveiled a handful of specifications of its next smartphone before its launch in India. Whereas, Motorola didn’t reveal the name of the upcoming smartphone or a launch date.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Motorola unveiled that next smartphone will feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, which falls in the mid-range segment of mobiles phones. The inclusion of a Snapdragon processor suggests that the upcoming smartphone could be launched in the same-segment.

The also added an image of rectangular object with a quick charging animation — likely to support fast wired charging or wireless charging. The third object unveiled by the company is a camera lens; however, it's currently uncertain which camera Motorola is referring to.

Earlier, Lenovo unveiled smartphone with a curved display in a short video posted on X (formerly Twitter), which shows smartphone with round edges on left and right sides of the screen. The rear panel features Motorola “Batwing” logo on the back of the smartphone. 

The organisation of the impending event also gives us an idea of the launch of Moto Edge 50 series in India, whereas, the device tipped by the company could be the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion or the Edge 50 Pro. 

When will Motorola's release its next smartphone?

According to Motorola's official press release, cited by Gadgets360, the smartphone maker is expected to hold a launching event on April 3 to witness the “fusion of art and intelligence,” and as Motorola hasn’t lifted the veil off any specifications of the yet-to-come device, we can expect the disclosure at the event.
