Rumours regarding the Honor X70 smartphone have started to emerge, with the latest leak revealing details about the handset’s potential chipset and screen.

According to reports, the Honor X70 might boast an upgraded processor, which could enhance overall performance. However, the display solution might be similar to its predecessor.

Honor unveiled the X60 series in October 2024. The standard model is powered by the Dimensity 7025 chipset, while the Pro variant runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. Now, the tech giant appears to be working on the next-generation X series.

Honor X70 upgraded features (expected)

Taking to Weibo tipster DigitalChatStation (DCS) suggested that the Honor X70 will likely retain the same LCD screen as the Honor X60, paired with a slightly improved chipset. However, the tipster didn’t mention the chipset.

For context, the X60 features a TFT LCD screen with a 2412 x 1080 pixels resolution.

Although OLED panels are considered better than LCD screens, LCD screens offer several benefits, including high-definition image quality, minimal energy consumption, durability, and fast response times. However, it often struggles with colour saturation.
