Hori, a brand specialising in gaming peripherals, officially announced their Wireless Apex Racing Wheel, licensed by Sony for PS5, PS4, and PC.

This innovative controller is designed to provide an immersive gaming experience, perfect for fans of racing sims such as Gran Turismo and Need for Speed.

Although wireless gaming controllers first emerged some years ago, specialised controllers, such as racing wheels, have always remained wired until today. The Hori Wireless Apex Racing Wheel is a wheel with up to 10 hours of battery life and a range of 32 feet.

This provides the best experience in your favourite racing games without the hindrance of having cords everywhere, hence proving this product to be a must-have for any serious gamer.

Hori Wireless Apex Racing Wheel features and compatibility

The Hori Wireless Apex Racing Wheel comes fitted with paddle shifters, full-size foot pedals, 270-degree rotation, and clamps to securely hold it onto your table or desk.

It also works with PS5, PS4, and personal computer (PC), which gives a variety to your game: An officially licensed racing wheel that would work on any console or computer flawlessly.

Comparison to other racing wheels

Another popular wired option is the Logitech G29, which has premium features such as force feedback and a 900-degree wheel rotation which is quite expensive.

Other high-end options include the Thrustmaster T300 RS and T248P, although this bumps up the price tag significantly higher, potentially off-putting more casual gamers.

Other budget-friendly options

Moreover, with the budget option, the wired Hori Apex and Thrustmaster T80 have a good place. The two are officially Sony-licensed, offering several features at an affordable price.

For owners of the Nintendo Switch, there are Hori's Mario Kart-themed wheels, great for fans that play iconic racing series.
