Newly leaked information indicates that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has been in the works for nearly a decade. These leaks also reveal the existence of not one, but two Bully games. This unofficial revelation about Rockstar's ongoing and past projects comes shortly after Take-Two's financial report hinted at a possible release timeframe for GTA 6.

GTA 6 development

Rockstar has a history of lengthy development cycles, but the company has consistently shown its commitment to evolving the Grand Theft Auto series. For instance, the development of GTA 5 began around 2008, shortly after the release of GTA 4. Similarly, pre-production on GTA 4 started in November 2004, coinciding with the launch of GTA: San Andreas.

A recently discovered LinkedIn profile of former Rockstar Research Video Editor Jon Young appears to suggest a similar pattern for GTA 6's development.

In terms of GTA 6, newfound information confirms that the game has been under development for nearly twice as long as its predecessor. The much-anticipated release of GTA 6 could potentially be approaching, as a reliable leaker recently suggested a holiday 2024 launch.

To sum it up, Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in the development phase, as per these leaks and insights.
