If you’re a fan of AirPods 4 or any older flagship of Apple AirPods, but don't want to give up your Android device, Gadinsider has got you covered with a step-by-step guide to pair your Android phone with AirPods.

Use AirPods on your Android device

How to pair AirPods with Android

Access Bluetooth settings

Firstly, switch on your Android device, navigate to the settings, and find the Bluetooth option beneath the “Connected devices” banner.

Pair a device

After opening the Bluetooth menu, tap “Pair new device” to start scanning for nearby devices.

Prepare your AirPods

Next, open your AirPods case and press and hold the button on the backside until the indicator light turns white. Your AirPods device must appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices on your Android device.

Initiate the pairing

After locating your AirPods in the list, tap on them. Then, confirm the pairing.

Confirm your connection

When paired, your Android device would show the AirPods as connected and you can use them to listen to your favourite music playlist, and podcasts, or even take phone calls.
