How to leave Beta Program without losing data
If you want to exit the Beta Program and switch to the stable release of Android 15, you need to unenroll before QPR1 beta 1 is released. Here's how:
Opt out of the program
- Ignore the downgrade over-the-air (OTA) update (it will have 'Downgrade' in the description).
- Wait for the final public stable release of Android 15 (AP3A), which is coming soon.
- By following these steps, you can avoid wiping your data and switch to the stable release of Android 15.
- Note that if you exit the program after QPR1 beta 1 is installed, you will lose your data.
Important dates to remember
If you opt out after August, and your device was already offered the update QPR1 beta 1, please do not install it, and follow the procedure mentioned above.
If you've installed the new beta, you'll need to wait until December to leave the program without wiping your data.
