How to fix green screen error on WhatsApp for Android

WhatsApp's latest update launched on 9 November has disturbed the app's messaging interface for some Android users, as all it shows is a green screen rather than chats.

If you've tried reinstalling the app to fix the problem but to no avail, then the problem is likely to be solved by installing the downgraded version of WhatsApp, which might work without having the green screen problem.

How to fix green screen error on WhatsApp

Since the problem remains intact after reinstalling the same version of WhatsApp, Gadinsider has found a step-by-step guide to fix the green screen issue.

  • But there are many versions of the APK Bundle available for Androids, so for that, the user must have some information about their phone.
  • Just in case you have no information, then go to Device Info, and then check the CPU. You may have to know if your phone’s processor is based on x86 or ARM 32-bit, or x86_64 or ARM64 64-bit architecture.
  • It will help you find out which WhatsApp version will work for you and which APK-trusted service provider will work for your phone.
  • APK will require your permission to send you settings with a toggle, which you can press to allow it while installing the APK.
  • Open the site on your phone browser and search WhatsApp.
