Planning a budget might be a time-consuming task for many but it won’t be anymore, as by using the power of ChatGPT, one can plan a budget from scratch in no time.

From everyday tasks like helping to write essays, emails, creating resumes, and planning a vacation or negotiating salary with a recruiter, this go-to tool for many provides solutions that leave traditional methods far behind.

How to use ChatGPT to plan budget

  • Firstly, log in to your ChatGPT account on a mobile or web browser. 
  • Take a snapshot of your financial situation as it will help you get an idea about your current state. 
  • Create a simple questionnaire to help me see where I have been spending my income.” 
  • Ask the chatbot to organise all your expenses to get clarity on where you might need to make changes in the future. 
  • Write a prompt to have it help you organise your expenses into categories such as essentials and non-essentials.
  • Everyone wants to save money but not all are succeeded. Ask ChatGPT to give you suggestions on how much money you should save.
  • Ask it to suggest some reasonable savings goal for each month in proper percentage and specific amount considering your income and expenses. 
  • Give ChatGPT a prompt like "Can you create an easy monthly budget template for me, with categories for income, needs, wants, and savings that could be filled quickly each month."
  • Along with the template, ChatGPT will also give instructions on how to use the template. 
  • Once you have got your hands on your ChatGPT created budget move it into a spreadsheet and save it on your device to keep accountability. 

You can also ask ChatGPT by giving a prompt like “Can you create a checklist so I can use it to review my budget at the end of each month?” This will help you keep track of whether you are following your planned budget or not.
