Huawei recently launched its Band 8, which is substantially one of the best bands that entails countless features embedded to cater to diverse user needs.
Among all the other features, its HarmonyOS 4.2 lets this wearable stand out with the top bands including Watch Ultimate, the Watch Fit 3 the Watch 4 Pro, and more.
It has received a few significant upgrades as compared to its predecessors as it has been launched with a software version 4.2.0.108, and more.
A report from Huawei Central indicates that version 4.2.0.108 supports connection to a compatible smart TV, allowing you to view metrics in the Huawei Health app on a larger screen. It appears that while watching TV, you can view statistics, such as heart rate and burned calories in real-time.

The change log is also said to indicate the addition of an NFC digital car key to unlock specific models (not listed). It is worth noting that this only works when the wearable is paired to a HarmonyOS or Android smartphone.
Moreover, it is also tipped to indicate the addition of an NFC digital car key to unlock a few particular models which are not listed yet, but this feature would only work when it is paired with HarmonyOS.
HarmonyOS 4.2 updates for this wearable are rolling out in several phases so there are still a lot of details which are under wraps including its launch date in the international market but, these details would be unveiled at the time of release.
