Huawei, a Chinese tech company, staged a major event in Dubai on May 7, to unveil the Huawei FreeBuds 6i, with the Huawei MatePad 11.5 S, MateBook X Pro, and Watch Fit 3.
The true wireless earbuds include dynamic active noise cancellation (ANC) and an IP54 certification. They have three microphones that are said to provide a 50% "higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) than the previous generation" of earphones.
Moreover, they are believed to use a deep neural network (DNN) algorithm to discern between voices and noise, resulting in crisper calls.

According to official listings, they are set to be on sale in several Middle Eastern and Asian countries later this year.
Huawei FreeBuds 6i specifications
Huawei FreeBuds 6i come with 11mm quad-magnet dynamic drivers and a three-mic setup. They include an Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0, which is intended to assist in monitoring and filtering out disturbing external noises.
In addition, the earphones provide simple touch controls to assist consumers control their listening experience. To choose between ANC settings on the Huawei FreeBuds 6i earbuds, they simply push and hold the upper stem.
Users may adjust the volume by swiping up or down the stem. They may double-tap to play and pause music, as well as answer and end calls. A triple touch on the headphones will switch the audio to the next track.
Huawei has introduced a new noise cancellation technology, Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0. It analyses external sounds and adjusts the noise suppression accordingly. The new buds have a noise-filtering chamber that efficiently filters mid and high-frequency speech and noises.
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i charging case includes a 510mAh battery, and each earbud has a 55mAh battery. The casing has a USB Type-C connector, and the earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3. The earbuds are said to have a total battery life of up to 35 hours when charged without ANC. They are touted to provide up to 20 hours of total playing duration when using ANC.
Huawei's latest earphones deliver powerful bass from 14Hz to 40kHz. In addition, the gadget may be readily operated using the following effective controls:
- Press and Hold: Turn on or off noise cancellation/awareness.
- Swipe up or down: Turn the volume up or down
- Double-tap to play/pause music and answer/end a call.
- Triple-tap to play the next track.
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i also has an IP54 grade for dust and splash protection. They also offer dual-device connections. The charging case weighs around 34g, along with each earbud weighs approximately 5.4g.
The Huawei FreeBuds 6i is available in three colour options: black, purple, and white. The tech company has yet to announce the price and availability of the earphones.
