Huawei’s recently unveiled foldable flagship, the Huawei Mate X6, is set for a global launch in the upcoming weeks as revealed in a teaser shared by the company.
Alongside the foldable, the teaser hints at the recently launched Huawei Mate 70 series’ global release.
Huawei Mate X6 global release date
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the tech giant shared a new poster on its official handle. While the post doesn’t mention the exact name of Huawei Mate X6, it features hashtags such as #UnfoldtheClassic and an image similar to the one used in the “Mate Brand Ceremony” that took place on November 26 in China.
The poster mentioned a purported date, suggesting that Huawei will likely release the Mate X6 handset in the global market on December 12.
Huawei Mate X6 specs
The Huawei Mate X6 sports a 7.93-inch foldable LTPO OLED panel with 2,440 x 2,240-pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of about 1:1.
It comes with an adaptive refreshing rate of 1-120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,800nits. However, the outer display of the smartphone is a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED panel with 1080p resolutionac and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.
The Mate X6 features a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture. The rear camera of Mate X6 has a telephoto lens of 48MP with 4x optical zoom, an ultra-wide lens of 40MP autofocus (AF), and a hyperspectral sensor.
The Huawei Mate X6 houses a 5,200mAh battery with 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless fast charging support.
Notably, in China, the Huawei Mate X6 is available for CNY 12,999 ($1,800).
