Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet has started receiving the new August 2024 update equipped with the latest security improvements with users experiencing smoother and more reliable performances.
The device received the last update in July, adding security improvements to the tablet via a software version HarmonyOS 4.2.0.210/211.
However, the MatePad Pro 13.2 is getting the August 2024 update with the new HarmonyOS 4.0.0.140 version and a downloadable package of 363 Megabytes.

The update includes a new security patch targeting the hidden bugs and issues in the device system and ensuring the safe functioning of the device.
Moreover, a new additional shield is also being integrated into the device’s data that will protect the tablet from any vulnerability that attacks the lock screen, contacts, notification permission, and various other significant features of the system.
Huawei has also integrated the HarmonyOS 4.2 offerings into the MatePad Pro 13.2 flagship in China. However, global users are still missing it and therefore, the company has released the latest August 2024 update for the device.
The update could take time to cover all the eligible global units and also it is unclear when Huawei will expand HarmonyOS 4.2 features.
