Huawei was likely to introduce the Nova 13 series of mobiles at Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2024 on June 21; however, reports suggest that the launch has been delayed till July.
Also, it's not the first time that Huawei’s nova series has faced delays but the previous series had also come across the same delay issue before its final release in December 2023.

Tech giants have revealed the following specification that Nova 13 may consist:
- Nova 13 series smartphones may be powered by the Kirin 9010 chip, which was also available in Pura 70 Ultra.
- The chipset boasts overclocked cores for better and enhanced performance comparatively to the Kirin 9000s which is soon to offer 5G connectivity.
- It would possess a 1.5k resolution panel along with an exceptional camera quality and expected to bring few enhancements in XMAGE imaging system as well as high-end Nova 13 Pro and Ultra models might come with a basalt coating.
- It might support two-way Beidou satellite communication technology, this would allow users to send and get messages through this satellite system even in the worst network connectivity areas.
