With the start of 2025, Huawei has hit rumours of releasing a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered smartwatch this year. The company promised to roll out “beyond imagination” products in 2025.

On Weibo, a tipster @SmartPikachu indicated that Huawei will release a dynamic AI smartwatch this year. However, the tipster didn’t mention other details or key specs of the device, while, the highlight of this wearable will likely be AI capabilities.

Huawei is said to adopt AI features for almost every device, whether phones, tablets, earbuds, or notebooks. Thus, a wearable won’t be an exception to this theory.

According to the majority of netizens, the rumoured wearable is the Watch 5 series. The new smartwatch lineup is expected to go official in Q2 of 2025.

However, the wearable’s name is officially not revealed by the company. Huawei is expected to soon reveal new devices on the consumer platform.

Watch 5 series: New AI wearable

Huawei launched iconic smartwatches in 2024, such as the Watch GT 5 series, Watch D2, and the new Watch Ultimate colour editions. Currently, the company is apparently working on the Watch 5 series that may launch alongside the Pura 80 models.

The upcoming smartwatch lineup is rumoured to sport a new design. It is said to be the best wearable on the company’s watch shelf. The device will bring large and small dial options with new colour variants.
