Huawei has unveiled many artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features with the Mate 70 devices, and one of them is the Air gesture file transfer feature. It seems like the tech giant is set to launch this striking capability to more smartphones and tablets soon.

What is Air gesture file transfer?

Air gesture file transfer is an enhanced feature, providing the ability to easily handle file-sharing operations. One can easily share any media, particularly images, by just moving their hands in the air without even touching the device’s screen.

It is said to be similar to the iPhone’s AirDrop feature but is far more efficient. Users can simply use the grab gesture to screenshot the display.

The feature requires the same Huawei ID and account that the user has been using before. It is important to note that the Huawei Mate 60 and Pura 70 devices running on the latest HarmonyOS NEXT beta version also support the AI air gesture file transfer feature.

Currently, the HarmonyOS NEXT beta version is available for the following devices:

  1. Huawei Mate 60 series
  2. Huawei Pura 70 series
  3. Huawei Pocket 2
  4. Huawei Mate X5
  5. Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2
  6. Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024
