As Apple is at the precipice of releasing iOS 17.6, the beta release has been a little mute on updates till now, with the final release expected to pack in some bug fixes and minor improvements.
The revelation was brought to light by a private social media account with an accurate track record. It’s already hit the nail on two separate occasions focusing on upcoming iOS updates. The users purport that iOS 17.5.2 was scrapped to make way for this new release.
Apple began beta testing iOS 17.6 shortly after the developer release of IOS 18, so far the only known feature is ‘catch up’.

This’ll be available for Apple TV users with the MLS (Major League Soccer) session pass, it'll let users catch up on the game through a bunch of highlights
iOS 17 beta release schedule
Just like the previously followed time frames for the release of iOS updates, iOS 17 beta 4 was released to developers on July 11, 2023.
Apple iOS 18 release
As the iOS 18 release date nears, updates to iOS 17 will be minimal, just for a run-down, iOS 18 will be released later this fall iPhone XS/XR.
The update will introduce a bunch of new features: allowing apps to be freely located on the home screen, dark or tinted app icons and Apple Intelligence for compatible devices.
