iOS 17.4, Apple's most recent iOS update, has long been creating a buzz on the internet regarding its release date and the set of improvements it will bring to the existing iOS version.

Since this latest iOS update is undergoing testing and inspections for over a month now, GadInsider is here to provide a glimpse (or even unveil) of the releasing window for the iOS 17.4.

When will Apple release iOS 17.4

Apple confirmed in a presser — aimed at the announcements of the major App Store changes which came into effect after the implementation of new regulations under the set EU's Digital Markets Act — that iOS 17.4 will be released at some point in March.

Apple must abide by the Digital Markets Act by March 6 to avoid penalties, so it is expected that iOS 17.4 will be released on or before March 6, 2024.

Besides the changes in the EU, significant new features in iOS 17.4 include Apple Podcasts transcripts, a new iMessage security protocol, fresh emoji, and the capability to use the Apple Cash card on more websites by creating a virtual card number. The update also includes preparations to release CarPlay later this year.
