Apple has finally issued a serious warning to all the iPhone users, asking them to update their devices with the latest iOS 17.7. This update is set to fix sixteen notable security vulnerabilities to protect clients' personal information and their devices in general.
This update prevents attacks that would otherwise compromise users' private information.
What's fixed in iOS 17.7?
The iOS 17.7 release has fixed a variety of bugs in areas such as the Kernel, Shortcuts, Mail Accounts, and Accessibility features. Two zero-day Kernel vulnerabilities identified as CVE-2024-44165 and CVE-2024-4419 could leak network traffic outside VPN tunnels and allow unauthorized Bluetooth access.
Leakage of sensitive information might be caused by two problems in Shortcuts, and a bug in Mail Accounts (CVE-2024-40791) could allow reading contact details.
Though quite less valuable to attackers, such security updates are a necessity, especially for work-dependency users on their iPhones.
