iOS 18: Apple invites developers to submit apps for next-gen update

Apple has been gearing up for the official launch of iOS 18, and now the developers are allowed to submit their apps for the next-generation update. However, with the Release Candidate builds out, the tech giant is inviting developers to take advantage of the latest capabilities in Apple platforms.

What’s new in iOS 18?

iOS 18 introduces a ton of new features and application programming interfaces (APIs), including support for Apple Intelligence tools, Control Centre and Lock Screen shortcuts, dark icons on the Home Screen, and so much more.

Developers can now submit their new apps or app updates to the App Store, making sure they work with the latest Apple systems.

This means developers can get the support for the new Double Tap API or offer Live Activities in their watchOS 11 apps.

Devices compatible with iOS 18 updates

Moreover, developers can now submit their apps since iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, visionOS 2 and macOS Sequoia become officially available on September 16. Devices compatible with these updates will get them on official release day.
