iOS 18 beta 5 features

Distraction control in iPhone will allow users to tailor their browsing experience by blocking specific elements on web pages in a more simplified manner than before. These elements include sign-in popups and other content overlays.

As reported by 9to5Mac, the feature can be activated from the existing Page Menu interface in Safari as Reader and Viewer, with a newly integrated option displayed as "Hide Distracting Items” from where users could enable the new Distraction Control feature on their iPhone.

The next interface will then ask users to choose the distracting ones from all the elements commonly displayed on a webpage.

By manually selecting web page items, users will be able to enjoy a trouble-free browsing experience, free from the hassle of pushing away popups and notifications.
