The official iOS 18.1 beta update is slated for this month, most likely after October 20, along with the release of highly anticipated Apple Intelligence features.

While Apple has no plans to support the AI features on its recently unveiled Apple Watch Series 10, one of the features named “Notification Summaries” is expected to come to the latest Apple wearable.

Notification Summaries coming to Apple Watch

With the iOS 18.1 update, a new notification summarisation feature will be introduced that will cut the clutter from a large number of notifications in two ways. This AI-powered feature was also included in the iOS 18.1 public beta that rolled out a few days back.

With this feature, when a user receives a notification on their Apple Watch, it will show a summary of the message instead of showing the first few lines of the text, making it easier for a user to get information at a glance.

Devices compatible with iOS 18

This Notification Summaries feature comes with an exception and is likely to work on the Watch Series 10; however, one still requires an iPhone device supporting Apple Intelligence to use it. Notably, only the iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max support these AI features.

Other AI features, including the Clean Up in image and Writing Tools, are also coming with the iOS 18.1 update but they won’t be available on Apple Watch.
