Amid the ongoing abuzz surrounding the upcoming iPhone 16 series' debut later this year, numerous renders have been surfacing pertaining to the design of the top-tier flagship smartphone of the company.
As different rumours brought to the scene by prolific tipsters and industry insiders reflected on different aspects of the iPhone 16 series, a recent leak has emerged regarding the cases for the iPhone 16 lineup, painting a picture of what one could expect from the successors to the iPhone 15.
The base (or standard) variant of the series, as per previous leaks, will likely sport a vertical pill-shaped layout in place of the square camera island with rounded edges that was normalised with the release of iPhone 15 series and a few more older series.

Citing Sonny Dickson, a prolific tipster, who disclosed an image of two smartphone cases, supposedly for iPhone 16, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gadgets360 reported that one of the cases which is a bit bigger could could be meant for the iPhone 16 Plus, whereas the other one was for the standard model of the iPhone 16.
The recently tipped camera layout promises a vertical rear camera bump coupled with a plastic cutout that houses the LED flash placed besides the camera island.
Reflecting on the photographic potential of the device, another leak reported by the same publication claims that the iPhone 16 series might also accompany a vertically aligned dual rear camera setup to provide with the spatial recording, something the iPhone 15 lacks for having a diagonal layout.
Unlike the iPhone 15 series which offered the Action Button exclusively on the Pro models of the series, the cases-based design renders also hint at the Action button being featured on all four models of the lineup. Moreover, entire series is also anticipated to house the rumoured Capture button under the cutout.
