Here's the reason behind iPhone 16 battery problem
Reportedly, the battery bug gets activated only when the iPhone is put in standby mode, "suggesting a background activity could be causing problems for some users."
While it has not been determined exactly how much an average iPhone 16 uses at rest, it's possible that various apps are causing battery drain on the iPhone 16 at varying paces when the device is on standby.
This indicates that nearly every iPhone user is subject to power consumption in standby mode but at a different rate.
Having already been criticised for the integration of sub-par batteries than those on Android, iPhone 16's 3,561mAh battery reeling through device-in-rest consumption issues take a toll on the dwindling reputation.
The iPhone 16 sips 6.3% more battery than the iPhone 15. As found in the iPhone 16 battery test conducted by the publication, the iPhone 16 lasts 17 hours and 47 minutes, marking a significant improvement over the iPhone 15, which peaked at 16 hours.
What adds to the iPhone woes is that some users are attributing the problem to the installation of iOS 18 on their devices, with reports claiming the battery problems were resolved shortly after they upgraded to either iOS 18.0.1 or the iOS 18.1 beta.
