The iPhone 15 series has only been out for nearly two months only, but speculations have started gathering online about the tech giant Apple’s next year's iPhone lineup, the iPhone 16 series.
As per a recent rumour, the iPhone 16 Pro might feature larger displays, with iPhone 16 Pro coming with a 6.27-inch screen, and the Pro Max model with a 6.86-inch screen.
However, tipster Revegnus forecasted display sizes of around 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. He also suggested that the regular models are expected to retain 6.1 and 6.7-inch displays.
A recent post from the South Korean blog Naver also supports his declarations, noting that the iPhone 16 Pro might boast a 6.27-inch display, nearly 6.3 inches, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max a 6.86-inch display, both using 120Hz displays with LTPO technology.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models are expected to feature a 60Hz display, like the iPhone 15 models. Meanwhile, the Pro variants might accompany a screen with 120Hz refresh rate, bragging the magnificent low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) technology.
However, in contrast to what the South Korean blog Naver claimed, rumuors suggest that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models are to maintain their 6.12-inch and 6.69-inch displays, respectively, with a 60Hz refresh rate. Their sizes and refresh rates are identical to the iPhone 15 models.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro have 6.1-inch OLED displays, while the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max come with larger 6.7-inch OLED displays, supporting a refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz.
The vanilla and Plus models in the iPhone 16 family could still feature 60Hz LTPO displays, whereas all models are identically expected to feature a Dynamic Island.
