The frenzy around the upcoming iPhone series, iPhone 16, is soaring to the popularity never witnessed before, beckoning iPhone enthusiasts with the elements of its supremacy, including camera capabilities, top-of-the-line chip, and a more appealing design.

With so much available around the leading contender in the smartphone's consumer market, the manufacturer, Apple, is expecting its sales to surpass those of the iPhone 15 series.

The iPhone maker's official estimations regarding the upcoming iPhone series were drawn from a recent supply-chain report, which also states that Apple has increased the number of its A-series chip orders by 10 million. Apple gets the A-series chips manufactured, and a few more classes, for its iPhones from TSMC.

According to 9to5Mac, some unreliable, yet prolific, tipsters' claims of Apple having changed its iPhone 16 chip-centric plans are not something to count on.

This claim was also backed by a Chinese site CTEE, which quoted the number of A-series chips, ordered to TSMC by Apple, to be between 90m to 100m for this year's iPhone 16 series.

What gives us an idea of a significant surge in the ordered iPhone chips is the number of chips ordered by Apple last year, as it was 80m to 90m for the iPhone 15 series.

As far as the chips installed in the previous iPhone series, the tech giant utilised the A17 chip for the Pro variants of the series, while the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus was running on the A16 chip.

But this year's iPhone 16 appears to be undergoing a change in plan, as the A18 chip will reportedly be powering all the iPhone 16 models equally.
