Apple, a tech giant, will be updating its iPhone portfolio next year, removing the Plus size and introducing a Slim device instead.

However, people assumed the iPhone 17 Slim would be positioned similarly to the Plus, but slimmer. According to a new analysis, the iPhone 17 Slim will be the most costly of the lot, surpassing even the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The next iPhone 17 models may feature a revamped design with a smaller Dynamic Island. Following a rumoured size increase and a redesigned side button for the iPhone 16 series later this year, the "Slim" iPhone 17 would have a 6.6-inch display, falling between the smallest version's 6.1-inch screen and the iPhone 17 Pro Max's 6.9-inch screen.

According to rumours, there are still other designs being examined for the upcoming high-end model, including an aluminium frame, a smaller hole and cutout for front-facing camera hardware, and centre-mounted back cameras.

If the users are wondering why the Plus model will be retired after this year, the reason is simple: sales data. The new Slim iPhone might instead function as a halo model, drawing many more people than the Plus ever could.
