The iQoo Neo 9 Racing Edition is expected to debut later this year, expanding the iQoo Neo 9 series, which was introduced in China in December 2023. While official details about the Racing Edition are yet to surface, a tipster has shared some key features of the upcoming smartphone.
Gadgets360, citing Digital Chat Station shared a post on Weibo that a new variant of the iQoo Neo 9 series could be on the horizon, although the specific model name remains unconfirmed. However, another report speculates that it could be the iQoo Neo 9 Racing Edition.
Reportedly, the iQoo Neo 9 Racing Edition is expected to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 2,160Hz PWM dimming rate. The utilization of 8T LTPO technology is purportedly aimed at reducing power consumption and enhancing battery efficiency.
Moreover, the tipster suggests that the Racing Edition might be powered by a chipset with the codename SM8635 that is said to be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, which is also anticipated to feature in the Realme GT Neo 6.

Furthermore, it's hinted that the iQoo Neo 9 Racing Edition could feature a dual rear camera setup, potentially including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary sensor along with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor paired with an ultrawide lens, similar to the base iQoo Neo 9 model. The report also suggests an April launch timeframe for the handset. The additional details are expected to be revealed closer to its launch.
The existing iQoo Neo 9 offers a 6.78-inch 144Hz full-HD+ AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a 50-megapixel dual rear camera configuration, and a 16-megapixel front camera. It runs on Android 14-based OriginOS and is equipped with a 5,160mAh battery supporting 120W wired fast charging.
