Rumours have surfaced online that are pointing towards the development of a new smartphone in its Z-series lineup from iQOO named iQOO Z9. The smartphone has already garnered certifications from BIS and Bluetooth SIG.
Recently, the device made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, unveiling some of its key specifications. Additionally, certain specifications of the upcoming device were also leaked not long ago.

The iQOO Z9, listed on the Geekbench database under the model number Vivo I2302, reveals a motherboard codenamed k6886v1_64. It features a configuration with six cores clocked at 2GHz and another six cores running at 2.80GHz, indicating the presence of the Dimensity 7200 chipset.

The device comes equipped with 8GB of RAM, although more variants may be available at launch, and runs on the Android 14 OS out of the box.
According to Gizmochina, in the Geekbench tests, the handset achieves a single-core score of 1,186 and a multi-core score of 2,683 points.

A previous leak hinted that the iQOO Z9 will feature an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. This will be an upgrade from the IPS LCD panel on the iQOO Z8. The smartphone is rumoured to house a bigger 6,000mAh battery and sport a dual rear camera setup.
iQOO Z9 launch schedule
The iQOO Z9 is rumoured to launch in March, expected to succeed the iQOO Z8 released last August. More details about the device will come out in the coming weeks.
