The government of Pakistan has reduced the price of petrol by Rs10.00 per litre for the next two weeks in an effort to provide relief to the people who have long suffered from crippling inflation.
With the current price cut coming for the fourth consecutive time, the latest price of petrol in Pakistan dropped from Rs259.10 to Rs249.10 per litre.

The price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) was slashed by 13.06 per litre, dropping from Rs262.75 to Rs249.69 per litre.
In the previous petroleum price adjustment in Pakistan, the petrol price was cut by Rs1.86 per litre.
The point to be noted is that the petroleum development levy (PDL) remains unchanged even after the federal government jacked it up by Rs10 per litre — from Rs60 to Rs70 — in the federal budget for 2024-25.
