Lava has confirmed the launch of its upcoming Lava 02 in India while teasing some of its specifications. The company without disclosing the official date of launch confirmed that the smartphone will be launched in the coming days or weeks.
Details show that Lava 02 will be available for purchase through e-commerce website Amazon, as it unveiled some of the key specifications.
Taking to the X (formerly Twitter), the company shared a teaser which showed that handset will be available in two colours — green and Majestic Purple. It will feature a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
Lava claimed that Lava 02 will score over 250,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test. The camera module is designed in a way that it changes the appearance when viewed from different angles.
Furthermore, a rear panel with Lava logo on the bottom left corner could be seen in the teaser with is likely to have a matte finish. The handset will have a speaker grille and the USB type-C charging port.
Meanwhile, the power and volume button are placed on the right panel. The e-commerce giant revealed further details of the Lava 02 featuring 6.5-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout to accommodate the selfie camera.
Moreover, Lava 02 will be powered by an Octa-core Unisoc T616 chip paired with 8GB of low power double data rate random access memory (LPDDR4x) RAM and 128GB of Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.2 storage space.
As per the listing on Amazon, Lava 02 will support a side mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication having the capacity of 5,000mAh battery support for 18W fast charging.
