macOS Sequoia is likely to be launched in the mid-quarter of September 2024. This time, it is expected to be the earliest release since OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) on July 25, 2012, in the last decade.

The annual version of iOS has been launched a week before a week prior to the latest version of macOS. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant has sometimes extended a gap between the launch of both products.

Back in 2020, Apple allowed a substantial gap of almost two months between the launches of both products.

This year, the Apple iPhone 16 release date is September 9, so macOS Sequoia is not only expected to be the earliest release of the decade, but it will be the first concurrent iOS/macOS release ever.

Apple would be nearly inevitable to share about the launch of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia by tomorrow September 9.
