Marvel Snap is a fast-paced card game that lets players build decks with their favourite Marvel characters and battle opponents in quick matches. Since its release in October 2022, the game has enjoyed success, but recent challenges have caused some concern among its loyal community.
The game’s developers have already outlined exciting plans for early 2025. January kicks off with the Dark Avengers Season, introducing powerful cards like Iron Patriot, Victoria Hand, and Bullseye.
February follows with a Captain America: Brave New World Season, featuring Sam Wilson’s Captain America as the star card. These new releases align with Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, continuing the game’s tradition of connecting with Marvel fans worldwide.
However, not everything looks perfect for Marvel Snap in 2025. Fans have criticised the lack of regular Series Drops, which are essential for the game’s progression. While the developers promise improvements, players are frustrated by the slow pace and scarcity of updates.
The biggest issue remains card acquisition, as the current system makes it tough for free-to-play players to compete.
Moreover, the community is now calling for a clearer roadmap and more frequent updates to rebuild trust. Fixing these issues could address monetisation concerns and bring more balance to the game.
Additionally, with major MCU movies like Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four on the horizon, Marvel Snap has the potential to regain its footing.
