MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship SoC: Launch date revealed

MediaTek’s forthcoming Dimensity 9400 SoC is said to arrive at the 9300 as the brand’s flagship smartphone SoC, offering a formidable challenge to the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 from Qualcomm.

The recently leaked reports, including a Geekbench leak, have spotlighted some light on the flagship SoC’s specifications, which are proposed to feature an 8-core setup which adds its primary core clocked at 3.63 GHz, three performance cores at 2.80 GHz, and four more performance cores, expected to be Cortex-A725, at 2.10 GHz.

Earlier reports suggested an October launch for the Dimensity 9400, further shown by the Vivo X200's official launch date set for October 14.

Currently, according to the prominent tipster Digital Chat Station, the Dimensity 9400 is expected to view the light of day on October 9, followed by the X200's launch. Meanwhile, the tipster did not share any further details regarding the SoC.

Apple’s recently released A18 and A18 Pro's Geekbench scores have leaked online, wherein the flagship SoCs have displayed commendable performance, coming close to the desktop-class M1. With the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 joining the arena expected by next month, a true flagship SoC power struggle looks possible.
