The long-awaited inexpensive model of one of the latest extended reality (XR) machines is just on the horizon. It is allegedly called the Meta Quest 3S and is expected to be a diminished variant of Meta Quest 3, which was unveiled back in 2023.
According to a reliable tipster Mark Gurman, a “Lite” model is soon to be released; now, it seems to be known as Quest 3S.

Meta Quest 3S price
Gurman further suggested the forthcoming model of Meta Quest would cost around $300 to $400, which is notably inexpensive than the standard Quest 3. Meta is expected to reduce the price tier by separately selling its controllers.
Additionally, it is likely to be a ponderous move from the buyer's point of view, because usually maximum buyers only want the controllers. So, if they were marketed separately for $100, then the total price would be equivalent to the original price of Quest 3.
Meta Quest 3S launch date
Quest 3S is likely to be released at its Connect event, which is held at its Menlo Park headquarters on September 25 and 26. A few more significant releases are expected including Google Glass-like AR glasses, and more, according to Gurman.
