Meta is gearing up to take the veil off a new virtual reality (VR) headset called Meta Quest 3S later this month. However, the details about the headset’s functionality have recently emerged, revealing a new button.
The headset is set to replace the outdated Meta Quest 2 and offer some new features similar to the Quest 3, including a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor and colour reproduction support.

To switch modes on the Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 2, users had to double-tap either side of the headset, which proved to be unreliable.
Additionally, the support page also revealed that the Meta Quest 3S might have two types of status display lights, such as a regular status display light, and a bystander signaling display light.
The new headset will also have two types of status indicators - normal and third-party. And to keep the price low it is using fresnel lenses instead of pancake lenses.
Meta is expected to unveil the Quest 3S at the Meta Connect conference which will take place between September 23 and September 26.
