Outage left users unable to access Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, experiencing server connectivity issues in Pakistan

Social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, have become inaccessible to users across the globe.

Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from various sources, including user feedback, showed a surge in complaints about the accessibility of Facebook and Instagram. Reports indicate that millions of users are currently affected by this widespread outage.

The outage, which appears to have begun shortly before 1pm Eastern in some regions, has left users unable to access the platforms' services, a few users engaged with the platform reported connectivity issues when logging in, posting content, and accessing feeds.

For WhatsApp, 82% of users encountered problems when sending messages, 15% of users in Pakistan are unable to access the app, while the remaining 3% are experiencing login issues.

For Facebook, 57% of users in Pakistan are unable to access the app, 33% are struggling to access the website, and 10% are reporting server connectivity problems.

These disruptions, which are part of a larger global outage, have left millions of users worldwide unable to communicate or access key features of these platforms.

However, Meta has not addressed the issue yet.
