Meta’s Vice President of Public Policy for the Asia Pacific region Simon Milner joined the podcast with Talha Ahad to discuss Meta’s work in Pakistan, which projects are undergoing, along with work to support innovation and encourage responsible digital citizenship among the youth in Pakistan.
Moreover, Meta’s collaboration with the Pakistan government, while interesting features and products are set to be launched soon.
The podcast aimed at Meta’s investment in artificial intelligence (AI), such as Meta AI which is available in Pakistan and the recent Meta Liama Pitchathon in Islamabad for various developers. Simon Milner discussed Meta’s efforts to support people create community online and advised ways to maximise reach on Meta platforms.

Moreover, Simon discussed the role of effective policy-making in global tech governance. Simon talking over the arrival of monetisation in Pakistan said: “ There are some legal issues associated with it which have been hard to figure out but how do we do it in Pakistan, given the way that the banking and legal system works as we are making progress and hopefully to be able to get there soon to launch monetisation soon in Pakistan.”
He encouraged Pakistan’s robust creator and developer communities and reaffirmed Meta’s commitment to play a pivotal role in supporting the country’s growing digital economy.
