Microsoft has overhauled its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant Copilot by incorporating voice and vision capabilities to transform it into a personalised agent. These recently introduced features include the virtual news presenter mode and voice feature that allows users to have a fluent conversation with Copilot.
Microsoft AI chief executive officer (CEO) Mustafa Suleyman told Reuters, that the American tech giant has created an “entire army” of creative professionals from different array of fields including psychologists, comedians, and more that would perfectly adjust the tone and style of Copilot to differentiate it from the other smart AI agents.
The latest Copilot would be capable of having a fluent conversation with users, managing several disruptions and pauses naturally, as mentioned earlier. “You can interrupt in mid-flow, and it can also actively listen, and that's kind of the art of great conversation,” Suleyman added.

“Copilot Voice will be available today in English to users in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with more countries to follow,” Microsoft stated.
Users will be able to access Copilot Voice in its gratuitous variant for Windows, also available in mobile apps.
Microsoft has introduced a few more significant experimental upgrades to Copilot, which are only available for the Copilot Pro subscribers including an opt-in feature known as Copilot Vision that allows AI agents to watch user’s screens and automatically react to things wherever users indicate any product with their cursor.
Additionally, Text interactions with Copilot which has been stored for 18 months and according to Microsoft, users would be able to delete the conversations. Copilot Vision will delete the entire history at the end of a session.
It is important to note that this feature will only be accessible to a particular website, and will be blocked from accessing copyrighted or Not safe for work (NSFW) content. It will be introduced to Copilot Pro users in the USA soon.
It has also rolled out another impressive experimental feature known as “Think Deeper” which lets Copilot simplify your tasks and solve complex queries within a couple of minutes. Furthermore, this technology is partially dependent on the latest OpenAI strawberry model “OpenAI o1”.
Think Deeper will also be limited to Copilot Pro users only.
