Motorola is set to release the Moto G05 in India on January 7 at 12:00 PM IST. A dedicated microsite on Flipkart has revealed some key specifications of this upcoming flagship model ahead of its official launch.

The smartphone will be available for purchase on Flipkart across India and will come in two captivating colour options: Green and Red, with a vegan leather back panel for a premium feel.

The Moto G05 boasts a 6.67-inch HD+ (720x1,612 pixels) LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added durability. Under the hood, it features the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

Running on Android 15, the device is confirmed to receive two years of security updates. The RAM can be expanded virtually up to 12GB using additional storage.

In terms of cameras, the Moto G05 is equipped with a 50MP Quad Pixel rear camera unit for high-quality photos and an 8MP front-facing camera, catering to selfie enthusiasts. The device also includes dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res audio certification, ensuring an immersive audio experience.

The smartphone features an IP52-rated build, making it resistant to dust and water splashes. It is powered by a 5,200mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, offering up to two days of battery life and up to 39 hours of call time on a single charge.

Moto G05 price and availability

Motorola initially launched the Moto G05 in select global markets in December 2024, alongside the Moto E15. In India, the Moto G05 is expected to be priced below INR 10,000, positioning it as a premium choice in the mid-range smartphone segment.
